Young Eagle Flights

Do you have a young person who is really interested in aviation as a career? Do you enjoy introducing young people to flying or aviation in general? If so, the EAA Young Eagles program is for you.

The EAA Young Eagles program was launched in 1992 to give interested young people, ages 8 - 17, an opportunity to go flying in a general aviation airplane. These flights are offered free of charge and are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers. See more here: http://www.youngeagles.org

Due to the high level of aircraft traffic during COPPERSTATE, there will be no Young Eagle Flights. However, stop by our tent and learn where and when other Young Eagle events will be.

The Basic Requirements are as follows

  • Appropriate Airmen's Certificate
  • Current Medical Certificate
  • EAA National Membership (or member of approved group)
  • 90-day currency in aircraft used
  • Current Biennial Flight Review
  • Aircraft Liability Insurance for aircraft used (owned, rental or borrowed) $100,000 per seat minimum, increased during event by EAA to $1,000,000.
  • Young Eagle Registration Form and Certificate
  • A Young Eagle

HAVE FUN!

If you meet these requirements,
then you are ready to fly Young Eagles!
