o Be a Young Eagle
o Write a letter of interest*
o Fill out the Copperstate Fly-In Scholarship application
o Be an Arizona Resident
o Provide two Letters of Reference from non-family members
o Be available for travel between July 22-30 or August 1-9 (for Advanced camp)
o Provide some personal expenses
o Write a follow-up report
o Be available to attend the COPPERSTATE Fly-In in October, 2014 in Casa Grande and speak about their experiences at an Air Academy/Young Eagle Forum or Awards Banquet.
*Suggested topics to include for the Letter of Interest:
- Why you want to attend the EAA Air Academy?
- What aviation experiences, education, or training do you have to date?
- What aviation interests do you have and/or would like to gain from your EAA Air Academy experience?
- What aviation related career goals do you have that could be further advanced from your experiences at the EAA Air Academy?
The completed Application Form, Participant’s Letter of Interest, and two Letters of Reference (4 items) need to be sent to Cheri McGunagle and postmarked by January 31, 2014.
The committee will review the applications and the recipients of the scholarships will be notified by Febrauary 15, 2014.
