COPPERSTATE covers a large area at Buckeye Municipal Airport, so walking is a big part in seeing all items of interest. Good news: we do have a tram system to take you from parking to all the areas surrounding the event, so walking to each area is made easy.
The area East of the runway is where aircraft are being judged and the best spot for viewing the air show on Saturday and Sunday. This is also a great spot to go if you don't want to walk too far, and it is near many food vendors.
We are sorry, but pets, skateboards, hoverboards and bicycles are not allowed due to the inherent danger of operating aircraft.
Please refer to the vendor listing on the HOME page and the Exhibitors page. You can also see the location of vendors on the Facilities/Exhibitor Diagrams page (https://www.copperstate.org/copperstate-exhibitors/facilities-exhibitor-diagrams/) which will be constantly updated up to the time of the event.
Yes there are many areas where one can escape the sun and/or rain. As Arizona weather in February is typically cooler, this is not a major factor. Nevertheless, please dress accordingly and wear lots of sunscreen – most of the fun sights are in the sun!
We have an entire page dedicated to Flying In to the event. Please go to https://www.copperstate.org/flying-in/ and there is plenty of information for all types of aircraft attending. Please note the details about printing and displaying a sign on the Flying In page. Also, please note that the airport will be closed to incoming traffic between approximately 11:30 am and 2:00 pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday for the Airshow.
Also, a radio is highly advised and please check the NOTAM prior to arrival. We look forward to seeing you!
